Tom Chamberlain, son of a dock worker, enjoyed his Grammar School at Cleethorpes, graduated in Social Science at Nottingham. He taught art for twenty-five years in secondary schools and in retirement leads groups for the University of the Third Age in philosophy, Latin and drawing.  His wife died in 1999, leaving two children, a daughter living in France, with two French grandchildren.
