Sholeh Wolpé is a poet, writer and literary translator. Her publications include four collections of poetry, a play, three anthologies and three books of translations, including Sin – Selected Poems of Forugh Farrokhzad, awarded the Lois Roth Persian Translation Prize. Wolpé’s modern translation of The Conference of the Birds (W.W. Norton, 2017) by the twelfth-century Iranian mystic poet, Attar, has been hailed by Reza Aslan as ‘timeless as the masterpiece itself'.
