Ruth Ingram

Poet, Translator

Ruth Ingram, born Monika Ruth Heller 1927 in Berlin, the daughter of Hermann Heller (a Jewish Professor of International Law and Politics ) and granddaughter of the poet Gustav Falke, came to England as a refugee in l937.  She was a lecturer and then Course Director for a postgraduate Course in Applied Social Studies.    

Since retiring she has worked with textiles and begun to write and to translate poetry.
