Roni Margulies

Poet, Translator

Roni Margulies, born in Istanbul in 1955, has published eight volumes of poetry, one of short stories, a childhood memoir, a personal observation on the Jewish community of Istanbul, and three collections of political essays. He won the prestigious Yunus Nadi Poetry Award in 2002 with his book Saat Farkı (Time Difference). He has published Turkish translations of the poetry of Ted Hughes, Philip Larkin and Yehuda Amichai.
