Nasr Jamil Shaath


Nasr Jamil Shaath (b. 1979) le besieged Gaza in 2009 and settled in Norway where he worked with fishermen on the Atlantic shores. With an apparent preference for the role of a keen observer of daily life, he calmly addresses the unseen and overlooked ordinary, and interrogates the uncomfortable until it becomes familiar. Nasr lives now in Marrakech, and he wrote these poems a er an accident, when he was hit by a car in the north of Norway.
