Mordechai Geldman


A major poet in Israel, Mordechai Geldman is the author of twelve volumes of poetry, five essay collections, and is a regular contributor to the press as essayist and art critic. The recipient of the Chomsky Award, the Brenner Award, the Amichai Award, and the Prime Minister Award, his work has been translated and published in English, Arabic, Czech, French, Greek, German, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. In 2010 he received the prestigious Bialik Prize, and his two-volume Collected Poems: Years I Walked at Your Side appeared in 2010-2011. Geldman lives and works in Tel Aviv.
