Menno Wigman

Poet

Menno Wigman is regarded as one of the most interesting poets of his generation. Critics sometimes call him ‘the dandy of desillusion’. He has published four full-length collections, the most recent of these is Mijn naam is Legioen, 2012. Wigman is also active as an editor and translator; Charles Baudelaire, Rainer Maria Rilke and Else Lasker-Schüler are among the poets whose work he has translated. Wigman is currently city poet of Amsterdam.
