Lauren has recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier's MSc Publishing course, during which she had the opportunity to research and explore issues in the in the field of modern literary translation and publication. She has developed particular interest in bridging translations from smaller languages, brought on by a year spent in Denmark on the Erasmus programme as part of her undergraduate English degree and a year teaching English in the Basque Country. 

Although not fluent, she personally enjoys translating from French and Spanish. She has also had the privilege of interning at Glasgow's Vagabond Voices, a small publishing house which specializes in literary translation. Lauren also provides editorial assistance to TravelChinaGuide and thoroughly enjoys helping those who wish to communicate in English to do so well, for whatever purpose.
