Justin Hill


Justin Hill was born in the Bahamas and grew up in North Yorkshire.  He has written four books including Passing Under Heaven (winner of Somerset Maughan Award 2005 and shortlisted for the 2005 Encore Award) which tells the story of  Yu Xuanji's life; Ciao Asmara (shortlisted for the Thomas Cook Award 2003); and The Drink and Dream Teahouse (Betty Trask Award 2001 and 2001 Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize).
