Poet, Translator

JORGE EDUARDO EIELSON was born in Lima, PerĂº. He published fourteen collections of poetry, two novels and four books of essays. His work as a visual artist was exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Documenta, and MOMA. He won the National Poetry Award (1944) and the National Drama Award (1948). He wrote in Spanish and Italian.
