John Morey

Translator

John Morey is a translator, poet and author based on the south coast.  As well as Sappho, he has translated other classical lyric poetry including Catullus and the central home-coming section of The Odyssey, and in 2011 is completing a long prose work interspersing his translations of parts of Tolstoy’s Kreutzer Sonata with fictional and discursive writings on the themes—musical, philosophical and literary—that the story invokes.
