Homero Aridjis


Homero Aridjis’ poetry is best known in English through Blue Spaces (Seabury Press, 1974) and Eyes to See Otherwise (Carcanet and New Directions, 2002) in translations by Kenneth Rexroth, Eliot Weinberger, WS Merwin, Jerome Rothenberg and Betty Ferber. He was recently appointed Mexico’s ambassador to UNESCO and is the President of Grupo Cien (100 artists for the environment) in Mexico. His next book of poems to appear in English will be Poemas solares/Solar Poems from City Lights in 2010.
