Gellu Naum

Gellu Naum was born in 1915 and died in 2001. A true and enduring surrealist, he published more than 15 volumes of poetry. Silenced between 1944 and 1968, his work became increasingly valid for younger writers. His poetry has appeared in translations by James Brook, My Tired Father (Green Integer, 1999) and, more recently, in a bilingual edition by Alistair Ian Blyth.
