Eugene Dubnov

Eugen Dubnov was born in Tallinn (Estonia) in 1949; he left USSR in 1971. He was educated at Moscow, Bar-Ilan and London Universities (Psychology and English Literature). 

He has taught Russian, English, American and Comparative Literature. He was writer-in-Residence at Carmel College, Oxfordshire (1985-87) and Wingate Scholar in London (1990-92). 

He has published three collections of verse in Russian and has had poems and short stories (in English translation and written in English) published in many periodicals world-wide. Nine of his short stories were broadcast on BBC Radio 3. His work has been translated into Englsih, French, Spanish, Hebrew and German.
