Elizabeth MacDonald was born in Dublin, Ireland. She graduated with Distinction from the Oscar Wilde Centre for Irish Writing, Trinity College, Dublin. Her collection of short stories, A House of Cards (Pillar Press), was published in 2006. She lives in Pisa, Tuscany, where she teaches English at the university. Her translations of poetry, both from and into Italian, have been widely published in Italy, Ireland and Britain.
