CHRISTOPHE TARKOS was born in Marseille in 1963 and died in 2004. Of himself he says: ‘I don’t exist. I fabricate poems’; ‘I am slow, extremely slow’; ‘I am in and out of psychiatric institutions.’ Tarkos published many books and recordings with small publishers. Éditions P.O.L. published his Écrits Poètiques in 2008.
