Bernard O'Donoghue is a leading Irish poet, critic and medieval scholar. He was born in Cork in 1945 and moved to England in 1962. Since 1965 he has lived in Oxford, where he teaches English at Wadham College. His Selected Poems was published by Faber in 2008 and his next book of poems is Farmers Cross, due from Faber in June 2011.
